If you last attended IU before 1965, we encourage you to call our transcript information line at 812-855-4500 before placing an online order. Because these requests require special review, ordering using our online/signature request system will better meet your needs.
The online transcript request system is available Monday–Saturday, 6 a.m.–5 a.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m.–midnight.
If you have an active computing account, you should log in using IU Login. IU Login authentication is the required signature for your transcript order.
Official transcripts ordered online cannot be held for degree posting, change of grades, or current grades.
Final grades are posted:
- Maurer School of Law: approximately three weeks following the last day of classes each semester
- Independent study (correspondence): approximately three weeks after the school receives your final exam or lesson
- All other schools: approximately 11 days following the last day of classes each semester
Most final degrees are posted to your transcript within 30 days of your degree conferral date. Please contact your school recorder if you have questions about degree conferral dates.
You can add the transcript charge to your IU bill (if you’re a current student) or pay by credit card. Note that if you choose FedEx or PDF delivery, you must pay by credit card.
If you choose to pick up your transcript at Student Central, you must present a valid photo ID such as your CampusAccess card, driver’s license, passport, or state ID. Only you may pick up your transcript.
Based on U.S. Postal Service guidelines, first-class mail should be delivered to U.S. addresses within 10 business days. There is no way to determine delivery time for international mail.
