If you’ve gotten a grade of Incomplete (I), don’t register for the course a second time. Instead, talk with your instructor as soon as possible about having the I grade changed to a letter grade once you complete all of the course requirements.
You’ll have one year after the I is recorded to complete the coursework, although the dean of your college or school may allow more time under certain conditions. If you fail to complete the coursework and turn it in to your instructor in the time allowed, your I will automatically become an F.
