If you’re an undergraduate student planning to study overseas in a program that is administered or co-sponsored by IU, you’re eligible for most of the same financial aid options as if you were studying at IU Bloomington. In addition, IU Education Abroad offers some loans, grants, and scholarships.
If you’re enrolled in an overseas study program that is not administered or co-sponsored by IU, IU Education Abroad will determine whether you’re eligible for an overseas study consortium. If you are approved for a consortium, you’ll be eligible for much of the same financial aid as if you were studying at IU Bloomington. However, since you won’t be paying tuition and fees to IU Bloomington, you won’t be eligible for fee remissions or state grants.
