Guide to Smart Planning and Financial Aid Success
No matter if you're an undergrad or grad student, we've put together helpful information to make managing college costs, financial aid options, and expenses easier for you. With some smart planning, you can make the most of the aid available and reduce financial stress throughout your college experience.
Getting started
- Navigate to One.IU on the web browser of your choice.
- Log in to One.IU with your IU username and passphrase.
Recommended authorizations
- Search for Duo on One.IU and select Two-Step Login (Duo). Register a phone or other mobile device to authenticate your identity for secure services such as direct deposit.
- Search for Title IV on One.IU and select the Title IV Financial Aid Authorizations app.
- Choose Grant Authorizations.
- Select Bloomington campus, then press Next.
- Check the box and submit.
- On One.IU, search for Set Up, and select the Set Up Parents or 3rd Party Users (Students) app.
- Set a username, password, email address, and permissions for any person you wish to have access to your bill and/or record.
- Repeat for any other person you would like to have access to your account.
- If you know your bank account number and routing number, search for Direct Deposit in One.IU and select Direct Deposit of Bursar Refunds. If you don’t have quick access to this information, you can easily do it at home later.
