Your community is at IU, even if you haven’t found them yet.
If you live on campus, your Resident Advisor (RA) can help you connect with others in your residence hall and point you toward events and activities that match your interests.
You can also find your community through your academics—by getting to know your professors, joining study groups, or connecting with peer mentors and school ambassadors in your major.
Joining a student organization, playing a club or intramural sport, getting a part-time job, or volunteering with campus or community groups are other great ways to meet people who share your interests. Explore ways to get involved by visiting the Office of Student Life web page or logging in to beINvolved.

Your academic advisor can help you explore your interests, review your progress, and talk through whether your current major aligns with your goals. You can meet with your advisor anytime during the semester—and as often as you need—to feel confident in your academic direction.
If you’re a pre-business, pre-nursing, or exploratory student, use the Student Appointment Scheduler in One.IU to schedule a meeting with your advisor.
Still not sure what path fits you best? Talk with Advising and Major Exploration Services (AMES) to explore other majors that might match your strengths and interests.
