An apostille is an additional form of authentication that certifies a document is a true copy of the original. Official documents that will be used outside the United States often require an apostille (see a list of countries that accept apostilles).
Processing a document with an apostille takes extra time because it must be sent to the Indiana secretary of state before it can be delivered. To request an apostille on your IU transcript or diploma, please complete an Apostille Request Form. Please note that it will take at least two business days to process your request, so plan ahead to avoid delays!
You will also need to provide a pre-addressed, postage-paid envelope (U.S. Mail or FedEx), which the secretary of state will use to send your documents.
You can mail your request or drop it off in person at Student Central on Union.
